A.J. Ash (@ajash) is a recovering goth with a massive sugar addiction. She enjoys television shows about people she would hate in real life, video games with romance, violence, and good plots, and reading everything. Despite the best efforts of her very tall boyfriend, a ten pound dog calls the shots in their house.

The “important” stuff: A.J. received her MFA in Prose from Naropa University with a focus in fairy tales, mysteries, and horror literature. Her essays, articles, poetry, and short stories have appeared in many small press journals and newspapers. As an editor, A.J. has helped other authors achieve publishing success as well. She was CEO of Mind Candy Editing, and before that, held editing jobs with The State of Washington, Escape Collective Publishing (which she co-founded), and The Abacot Journal, an online short story magazine.
